About the Society
The Association of Library Agents of Ljubljana is a voluntary, independent and non-profit professional organisation of librarians and operates in the area of the Osrednjeslovenske region (UE: Cerknica, Domžale, Grosuplje, Hrastnik, Kamnik, Kočevje, Litija, Ljubljana, Logatec, Ribnica, Trbovlje, Vrhnika, Zagorje ob Savi). The Association was founded on 29 March 1968 as the legal successor in 1954 of the Ljubljana branch of the Society of Bookkeepers of Slovenia. The Association is a legal person governed by private law with the rights, obligations and responsibilities laid down by the applicable regulations. The headquarters of the Association is in Ljubljana, Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana, Trg republike 3. The Association’s Basic Act is the Rules of the Association of Library Of Ljubljana, adopted at the Assembly of Members on 19. 11. 2010, on the basis of the provisions of the 4th and 13th articles of the Association of Associations (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 61/2006) and the Act amending and supplementing the Association Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 58/2009).
